Rating the best Resorts – Top 10 U.S.

For the next ten days we are going to be counting down to the best overall mountain.

How do you know which mountain to choose? There are so many factors to consider. With a little help we pulled together the top ten resorts and compared amenities, rated and ranked them.

Our highly classified and statistically quantum-stringed, seven-sigma analysis ranked the following characteristics that may or may not have been pulled out of a hat.

  • Snow Quality
  • Scenery
  • Accomodations
  • Terrain Parks
  • Lift System
  • Dining and Apres-Ski
  • Accessibility
  • Ski Runs
  • Ski School and Instruction
  • Costs

At the end we will post a comparison chart so you don’t have to do the math.

I highly advise taking a Ferris Bueller approach to analysis. As described by Grace in the office “Oh, he’s very popular Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads – they all adore him. They think he’s a righteous dude.” In other words, you are a different person depending on the mountain you are on. Go try on many. I’ve had five-star experiences at hole in the walls-and-massively overpaid for what turned out to be utter crap. All to say that this is opinion and not definitive.

Starting with Number 10, with an 6.6 average, we arrive in Utah at Alta.
